BLACKOUT FORM FALL 2023

BLACKOUT FORMS ARE TO BE FILLED OUT BY COACHES ONLY

 

List any conflict dates your team will have for the Fall 2023 season. The season begins the week of September 5th and ends the weekend of November 5th.  Games will be played during the week (except on Fridays) and also on Saturday/Sunday afternoon around 4:30-5:00 starts. 13U-18U divisions will play on the weekends only to prevent any conflicts with football. Please visit with your parents about any school testing dates, school functions, church functions, etc. to list on this form. Also list any tournament your team plans to participate in including local tournaments. We will still play the early game slot during testing as kids will get home in plenty of time. Spend time with your team and make sure you list all conflicts. Once the schedule is set it will be a forfeit if you can’t play a game unless your opponent can work with you and we have an available spot.  Also please remember that we can’t meet all requests in some cases so please only block off what's necessary. 


The deadline to submit a blackout form is August 13th.  We need time to lay these out and just can’t accept any past that date. With all the teams different schedule needs and blackouts and our limited field situation, it is very hard to set the league schedule. It has to be done the old fashion way with pencil and paper as there’s not a scheduling program out there that can handle all the different teams needs. Believe me we’ve tried. It takes a lot of time and effort. We will post schedules August 30/31 and start the season the week of September 5th.  PLEASE SPEND TIME WITH YOUR TEAM AND MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE ANY CONFLICTS YOUR TEAM WILL HAVE.


VERY IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE TO EMAIL ANY NEEDED ADDITIONS TO YOUR BLACKOUT FORM AS SOON AS THEY MAY COME UP DURING THE SEASON AS WE USE THESE FORMS WHEN RESCHEDULING GAMES. WHEN EMAILING THIS TYPE INFO, WE WILL REPLY TO YOU AS “RECEIVED”. IF YOU DON’T GET THAT REPLY EMAIL WITHIN 24 HOURS, CALL AND TEXT THAT YOU’VE SENT AN IMPORTANT EMAIL IN CASE IT WAS MISSED OR NOT RECEIVED.  MAKE SURE YOU’RE USING THE CORRECT EMAIL- westtexasyouthbaseball@gmail.com  REMEMBER YOU CAN PLAY A GAME WITH 8 PLAYERS AS WELL AS BORROW FROM OTHER LEAGUE TEAMS PER LEAGUE RULE.
