He's JUST A LITTLE BOY

He stands at the plate with his heart pounding fast;The bases are loaded; the die has been cast. Mom and Dad cannot help him; he stands all alone. A hit at this moment would send the team home. The ball nears the plate; he swings and he misses. There's a groan from the crowd, with some boos and hisses. A thoughtless voice cries, "Strike out the bum!" Tears fill his eyes; the game's no longer fun. Remember-he's just a boy who stands all alone. So open your heart and give him a break. For it's moments like this a man you can make. Keep this in mind when you hear someone forget. He's just a little boy, not a man yet.

Heads Up Concussion

None of us claim to be experts on the subject of concussion, or any other type of injury.  Unfortunately, injuries occur.  
Not only in the sports world, but in everyday life. 
We believe our role is to provide parents, coaches, officials, and other volunteers who work with children in our programs with educational material from credible sources.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is one of those credible sources.
Please take time to visit their website and review concussion materials specifically designed for youth sports programs like ours.  The links below will take you to their website.  We are grateful to the CDC for making these materials available free of charge.

RICK KLEIN PRACTICE FIELD RENTAL

PRACTICE FIELDS FOR RENT 

Rick Klein Complex is now available to rent for any team participating in one of the four leagues.  The rental fee is unrefundable except in cases of Mother Nature. You will get a credit if the field is unplayable due to weather.  You must add lights when you checkout if you are using the late slot to practice. This is the only way lights can be used.   We will continue to rent fields as long as everyone follows the rules. We realize the shortage of practice fields and we are striving to help. 

Both the City of Amarillo and the City of Canyon have limited practice fields for rent. You need to call the City of Amarillo to rent their fields.  The City of Canyon has an online reservation system at the link below.
